With the new ‘rule of six’ coming into force across the country, it’s very much business as usual for MPW Restaurants.
The new law, which came into effect on 14 September, means that it will be illegal for people to meet in groups of more than six.
Brought in to simplify and clarify the rules on social gatherings, there are a limited number of exemptions where COVID-19 secure venues, which includes restaurants, can still host larger numbers in total, as long as groups of up to six don’t mix or form larger groups.
With many of the restaurants having reopened in July and August means they are well equipped to adhere to the new legislation.
Dave Daniels-Ekarte, operations director said: “Across the estate we’ve been operating successfully since we were allowed to reopen back in July, so nothing has changed for us.
“Also, when we reopened, we put in place measures to ensure the safety of both guests and staff and means we are in the perfect position to adhere to this new legislation.
“Throughout the summer, the response from customers has been amazing and it was great to open the doors.
“There’s been a real buzz about the restaurants and once customers had been in to enjoy either lunch, afternoon tea or dinner they were able to see for themselves the measures we had put in place to ensure the safety of both guests and staff. This, without question, made them feel comfortable to eat out.
“It’s very much business as usual for MPW restaurants and we would love to see as many people dine with us, enjoy a meal and well-deserved treat at one of our venues.
“We take great pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene and we’ve taken every precaution so that those who dine with us can do so safe in the knowledge that all has been done to safeguard their health and that of the staff.”
