• New menu launched across Marco’s New York Italian restaurants

A new menu has been launched across the Marco’s New York Italian restaurants.

Inspired by the celebrity chef’s Italian heritage and love for New York, the brand is focused around his belief that high quality food should be an experience that is shared and enjoyed with friends and family, whatever the occasion.

Created by one of the country’s gastronomy greats, the new menu maintains its deference to the city that never sleeps while including a number of Italian-inspired dishes that will hopefully attract those wanting a casual dining experience, where the portions are generous and service comes with a smile.

For starters new dishes include The New York Platter which includes half baby back ribs, chicken crunch, jumbo shrimps, calamari, buffalo wings, carrot, celery and Russian coleslaw and there is also a new charcuterie selection that’s accompanied with celeriac remoulade, cornichons, toasted sourdough and pickled onions. The Boston chilli crab cake with ravigote sauce, red pepper and anchovies will be popular with fish fans while Padron peppers in salted olive oil are a delicious starter for all.

Those looking to enjoy a freshly prepared salad are spoilt for choice with the introduction of four new options. This includes the Great American Chopped Salad, a Panzanella Salad, Quarter Salad and Avocado Caesar Salad.

On the steak selection, although the cuts on offer remain the same, it’s the introduction of three delicious new ‘toppings’ that is set to get the taste buds drooling. These include the New Orleans with onion rings and Monterey Jack cheese; the Alex James that includes the Brit pop star’s Blue Cheese and pancetta and finally the Great American which combines pancetta and Monterey Jack cheese.

A new burger has also been introduced in the form The New Orleans which includes crispy onion rings, mustard mayo and Monterey Jack cheese.

The final new dish is on the pasta section and comprises a delicious Milanese breaded chicken fillet which includes pomodoro sauce and fresh basil.

Commenting on the new menu Marco said: “The dishes on this new menu certainly pay homage to New York and America and complements perfectly some of my favourite Italian dishes. I’ve also been conscious we remain true to the New York Italian principle to offer a fresh alternative, where authentic, uncomplicated food is served promptly.

“We want groups of friends to come in for a lunch or dinner, or parents to bring their children in for a meal out. We’re certainly not pretentious, it’s just good food, served in a great environment where generosity is our presentation.

“The new menu gives our regulars something else to look forward to, as well as giving people who have never joined us before the perfect excuse to plan their visit.”
