Two of the UK's most influential chefs have launched a new menu at their restaurant in Bath.
Pierre Koffmann and Marco Pierre White are now hoping foodies from across the West Country as well as visitors to the city, will pop into their brasserie style eaterie to try out the new menu which includes a selection of dishes that have deference to classic French and English cuisine.
Called Koffmann and Mr White's, the restaurant is located in the Abbey Hotel in the centre of Bath and opened in October 2018 while the development of the new menu has been undertaken over the last few months between the two gastronomic greats.
Josh Watts, general manager said: "It is plain to see the influence of both Pierre and Marco on this new menu. They are both very keen to keep it fresh and exciting, and dishes from the continent sit alongside and in harmony with the best of British.
"They are both constantly coming up with new ideas so it's great to put those ideas into practice in the form of this new menu."
On the starters, new additions include Perinelli & Mr White's charcuterie, the loft house salad, pumpkin soup and Moules a la fregola et Safran.
The mains are just as mouth-watering with new dishes including roast chicken a la forestiere and Morue rotie, haricots coco et chorizo which is a pan roast cod with coco beans, chorizo, fresh tomato and soft herbs.
Interesting additions to the sides include an artichoke gratin and La Tante Claire cabbage which pays tribute to Pierre's London restaurant where he attained his three Michelin stars.
For those with any room left, the dessert menu includes a new Gateau Basque, a toasted almond frangipane tart with crème anglaise and a plum compote.
Josh added: "There are some delicious additions to this menu and it's great to see Marco and Pierre working in harmony again. I'm pleased to say as well that we've kept some of the more popular dishes including the French onion soup, escargot a la bourguignonne, fillet steak and braised ox cheek, so regulars will be happy.
"The combination of the understated interior décor and this new menu really will make diners think they are eating in a Parisian bistro. This really is a fantastic new menu; there is something for all palates and we can't wait to start serving it to customers."
