Mr White’s Chophouse has become the venue of choice for many Muslim families who are currently observing Ramadan.

Located at The New Road Hotel in the East End of London, is now welcoming many guests who visit to enjoy the daily feast of iftar, which marks the time when the daily fast breaks.

A minute’s walk from the East London Mosque and close to Whitechapel station on the Elizabeth Line, the team at the hotel and restaurant are also gearing up for the end of the fasting which culminates in the celebration of Eid al-Fitr.

The restaurant also has a designated area for prayers.

Toby Muny, general manager said: “It’s great to welcome a range of guests and with all our meat being halal and no alcohol or pork being used in any of the dishes, it’s the most popular choice within the Muslim community. We’ve fast become the ‘go to’ in East London for celebrations and classic English dishes and it’s great to see so many now make this their destination for family feasts during Ramadan.

“We also like to think we serve the best halal steak in the whole of London and when your menu is overseen by arguably one of the best chefs in the world, it’s quite hard to argue against that claim!”

With a delicious range of starters, signature and sharing steaks plus a choice of other main courses guests are spoilt for choice. And if they’ve got any room left the range of desserts are perfect for those with a sweet tooth.

Guests dining at the restaurant for iftar will also receive a complimentary mocktail and medjool dates on arrival to help the meal get under way.

With the word now spreading on the venue’s menu and friendly, welcoming atmosphere, Toby and his team are expecting the Eid al-Fitr to be just as popular.

Recent media visits, including one from Islam TV* described their filming as the best location they had ever been in, adding to its burgeoning reputation as the place to go.

Toby added: “With Eid al-Fitr being a hugely symbolic time for all Muslims, we’ll be pulling out all the stops so that those who do celebrate with us, do so knowing they’ve been well looked after.”
