• FAMED CHEF UNDERLINES THE IMPORTANCE OF FAMILY THIS MOTHERING SUNDAY

Families wanting to make sure their mothers are made to feel special this Mothering Sunday should consider booking a table at one of Marco Pierre White’s restaurants.

Shaped by the tragic death of his Italian mother, Maria Rosa Gallina, when he was just six, the famed chef and restaurateur know all too well the importance of making the most of having someone special you can love, appreciate and have around for advice.

He now wants families to make sure their own mothers know how much they mean by treating them to a fabulous meal out.

Despite his fearsome reputation that made him arguably the first, world-renowned, superstar chef, many might be surprised to know that the one dubbed the original ‘enfant terrible’ is not only a very humble and private individual but holds highly the importance of family.

Families who now pop along to any one of his restaurants on 27 March will really be able to show their mums how much they meanwhile enjoying a ‘Pink Grapefruit Cooler’ cocktail on the house.

Jason Everett, executive head chef at MPW Restaurants said: “The atmosphere in all our restaurants is perfect for a relaxing family meal out.

“Marco said in his book ‘The Devil in the Kitchen’ that it wasn’t until he was 31-years-old before he could analyse the tremendous impact of his mother’s life, and death, upon his own.

“Treating your mum to a nice meal out in a relaxed environment is a lovely way to show how much you care and is a great way to get the whole family together.

“Mums are always running around after everyone else and often don’t take any time for themselves. A meal out will show her that she can be looked after too and give her a day to remember.

“We’re in the business of feeding people in a great environment where the service is of the highest standard. That’s why we’ll be pulling out all the stops so that from the moment guests arrive they are made to feel special, especially the mums.”
