Marco Pierre White Launches Cost-friendly Menus for the Summer
Conscious that the current cost of living crisis is making guests think twice about dining out, the price friendly set menu offers two courses for £19.95 or three courses for £24.95 respectively*.
The set menu is available at a variety of the gastronomic great’s restaurant estate including his Steakhouse Bar & Grill, New York Italian and Mr White’s Chophouse.
It means anyone looking to enjoy a celebration or just want to go out for a nice meal can do so without worrying about the cost.
Jason Everett, executive head chef at the group and who worked with Pierre White at his famed Harveys restaurant said: “The summer set menu reflects everything that’s wonderful and exciting about Marco’s food philosophy and has to be one of the best and tastiest seasonal menus we’ve ever launched.
“With a deference to the great British summer, they have been designed to complement the relaxed, friendly atmosphere in our restaurants, and means our guests can feel inspired by the choice of food on offer and enjoy their dining experience at the same time.
“And with the current cost of living hitting the headlines almost daily, the set menu is a great way to enjoy a meal out without breaking the bank.”
Starters on the set menu at the Steakhouse and Chophouse include a Carottes Râpées Salad, a Croustade of Sundried and Sun Blush Tomatoes, an Endive Salad and Egg Mayonnaise – all reflective of the summer months.
Mains are just as tantalising including Mackerel Fillet Pané à L’anglaise, Chickpea & Spinach Curry and a Poached Pear and Walnut Salad while the dish of the season is the renowned Wheeler’s Fishcake.
A visit to any Marco venue wouldn’t be the same without any steak options and come in the form of quality grass fed Campbell Brothers’ steaks.
For those with any room left desserts include Marco’s famous Cambridge Burnt Cream and Poached Summer Berries.
Meanwhile, at the New York Italian venues starters also include a Carottes Râpées Salad. There is also a Bruschetta of Sundried and Sun Blush Tomatoes, an Endive Clawson Blue Stilton Salad and Chilled Italian Tomato Soup.
Mains include Macaroni alla Cratinata Carbonara, Gnocchi Pomodoro and a Classic Avocado Caesar Salad while the dish of the season are Hickory Smoked Baby Back Ribs. It also includes a Mackerel Fillet Pané à L’anglaise.
Like the other venues desserts at the New York Italian venues also include Poached Summer Berries but also has Vanilla Panna Cotta.
Darren Coslett-Blaize, brand director added: “I can’t stress enough what amazing value for money the set menu is. It also has to be one of the best and tastiest seasonal menus we’ve ever launched. The range and selection of dishes on both menus will hopefully mean guests will want to dine with us again and again, and I wouldn’t blame them when you look at the variety of what’s on offer.”
