Anne Hathaway’s Cottage (Shakespeare’s wife)

Come and visit the famous cottage of Anne Hathaway located in Shottery, just a short distance from Stratford-Upon-Avon. This lovely cottage was the home to Anne whilst she was a child, up until she became William Shakespeare’s wife.

The cottage is now visited by tourists all over the world, the beautiful cottage is renowned as the most romantic in England.  The young Shakespeare would have courted Anne here and the thatched cottage has often been described as the most romantic in England. There are also the spectacular gardens to walk through and explore.

Hall’s Croft (Jacobean home of Shakespeare’s Daughter) 

Visit the delightful Hall’s Croft where Shakespeare’s eldest daughter Susanna lived. The residence is a breath-taking piece of architecture showing off the wealth and status of John’s achievements.  This is shown through the amazing walled garden. This tranquil masterpiece is perfect to relax and experience the wonderful roses and spectacular borders.

Stratford Butterfly Farm

If you are a butterfly fan then this is the place for you, spectate these wonderful creatures as they fly and feed around you and others. The farm shows the wonderful life of the butterfly.

There are also a range of insects to view in ‘Insect City’ and if you are feeling particularly brave why not take a walk through ‘Arachnoworld’.

Church of Holy Trinity (Shakespeare’s Grave)

Holy Trinity Church was where William Shakespeare was baptised; he also worshipped and was buried at the Church. Holy Trinity sees a vast number of visitors every year to see Shakespeare’s final resting place but the Church is also open as an active parish.

Royal Shakespeare Theatre

Courtyard Theatre

The Courtyard Theatre was a temporary theatre in place until 2012; it had 1048 seats with a thrust stage. The theatre was run by the Royal Shakespeare Company whilst the development took place of the company’s other theatres and has now been replaced by The Other Place, which is a 200 seat theatre.
