For a contemporary twist on a great British tradition immerse yourself in the unique dining experience that is Marco Pierre White’s first ‘English Chophouse’. This exciting restaurant concept has its origins in 18th century London when chophouses were created for businessmen to conduct their affairs over hearty plates of cooked meats washed down with fine wines and ales.
In the luxurious surroundings of the Hotel La Tour, Mr White’s English Chophouse specialises in fresh, high quality meat cuts, prepared with precision by trained craftsmen. The menu cleverly combines English classics with French flair as dishes like lamb chops, roast saddle of venison, pork belly and grilled native lobster are prepared using traditional French techniques.
Marco Pierre White has been closely involved with developing the Chophouse, with its focus on using only the best meat and freshest ingredients. He says: “Mother Nature is the true artist and our job as cooks is to allow her to shine.”
